December 20, 2018 – The House Democratic Caucus unanimously elected Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) as Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee for the 116th Congress. Please see link below for the Congressman’s statement.
Congressman Pallone has been a great friend and ally to the citizens group RAGE in their opposition of JCP&L’s transmission project in Monmouth County (“MCRP”). The Congressman will take the gavel as Chairman on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
As Chairman of the E&C Committee, the Congressman will be very busy and will have many expanded responsibilities. However, at the same time, he is well versed in FERC candy and understands the financial incentives that drove many of the transmission projects for the regional transmission operators and their utility company members.
Congratulations to Congressman Pallone! We wish him all the best in his role as Chairman of the E&C Committee.
