Experienced Power Outage from Isaias? BPU Announces Public Hearings

Jan. 8, 2021 – The Board of Public Utilities (BPU) announced a series of meetings for public comments. The first meeting, which will be conducted virtually on Jan. 29th from 10 AM to 1 PM, will be on the utilities’ responses to Tropical Storm Isaias.


At the October 2020 public hearing by NJ State Senate Law and Public Safety Committee, BPU President Fiordaliso commented that he thought the efforts by the utility companies were “reasonable” despite testimonies at the same hearing by four Mayors that the communications and responses by JCP&L were poor.
